It gives me immense pleasure to learn that the Governor Secretariat has launched its website wherein all the relevant information about the Governor House and offices that work under its administrative control has been provided. I congratulate and appreciate the Principal Secretary for taking this progressive step. This would certainly go a long way to introduce this remote area of the country to the people within and outside the country.

I once again extend my felicitations to Principal Secretary and the team of BUITEMS on launching this website. I wish them all success.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that elimination of mental backwardness is very essential for economic expansion and prosperity. He said that we have to come out of local and parochial mindset for acquiring national thought in order to fully get advantage of the current advanced technologies. He expressed these views while meeting with a delegation of Khuzdar led by advisor for Finance Mir Khalid Langau. The delegation apprised the governor that there is dire need of transformers and drinking water in Killi Wadera Juma Khan Langau, the delegation tabled their problems in the meeting. Governor Blaochistan assured them of resolving their problems at priority basis. Meanwhile, another delegation of Noshki headed by Member of Provincial Assembly Mir Ghulam Dastagir Badeni called on Governor Balochistan and apprised him with the issue of water Scarcity in Noshki & adjoining areas. The delegation also invited Governor Balochistan for a visit to Noshki. Governor Balochistan assured them that all possible efforts would be made to resolve their problems.

Chairman Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Senator Mr. Anwar Baig called on the Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai in Quetta. On the occasion the Governor said that the program benefits should be provided to poor and needy masses in Balochistan. The Governor directed that not only compensation amount should be given to 0.451 million needy people but with the coordination of NADRA more CNIC may be prepared and included the other remaining poor people in the BISP. Earlier, Chairman BISP apprised the Governor about the performance of BISP in the province Balochistan and told that program would be extended to other districts soon. During the briefing, it was informed that several project are under way under BISP to alleviate poverty and improve the living standard of deprived people in the province. Governor Balochistan said special attention should be focused on technical education micro financing and nourishment program and order to facilitate the children and poor people of the province.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that local Government system is the foundation of democracy whose goal is to solve the difficulties and issues of masses at their door step. Speaking to the Sariab Festival organizing committee delegation led by Haji Abdul Wahid Shawani who called on him at Governor House Quetta the other day, he said that various complications and difficulties are mounting due to the delay in the implementation of Local Government System. Adding that it is essential to work jointly and play an effective role for the strengthening of local bodies’ organizations. The governor said that the elected representatives of the local bodies have close and constant contact with the masses, adding that they are fully cognizant of indigenous issues and needs of people that’s why the representative are in better position make a development plan and to solve problems according to the requirements of dwellers. He said local government system is utmost requirement in province Balochistan since its population is scattered. The governor said that Pashtoon and Baloch are affectionate and loving people and they are very proud of their native language, culture and philanthropy. On the occasion, the delegation also invited Governor Balochistan to partake in one day seminar regarding educational backwardness in the province Balochistan.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has denounced three different terror attacks on Hazar Gunji bus, FC convey near Qambarani road and rally of JUI (F) in Quetta on Thursday. He expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of innocent human lives and said that those who play with the lives of the innocent people and sabotage the law & order situation of province deserve no leniency. Governor Balochistan called for effective measures to curb terrorism and directed the law enforcement agencies for earl arrest and punishment of perpetrators. He called for the best medical treatment to victims. In a statement he urged all the segments of society to join hands and forge unity among their ranks for defeating the nefarious designs of terrorists. He prayed to Almighty Allah for eternal peace to the departed souls and early recovery for the injured ones. He also expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.

A delegation of Kakar Khurasaan led by provincial minister for PHE and WASA Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai called on the Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai at Governor House in Quetta. The delegation apprised the governor of their problems and told that they are facing various problems including the non-availability of grid station and inter collage. They told that the dwellers of respective area are also facing problems of non availability of clean drinking water. Governor Balochistan listened their problems patiently and assured that all possible efforts would be made for the solution of their problems.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai said that the ability to used authority in the best interest of masses is the foundation of the good governance. The government officials should earn good reputation rather than money. He expressed these views in a meeting with delegation of National Institute of Management (NIM) Peshawar Mid Career Management Course (MCMC). The delegation was headed by director general of NIM Balochistan Nazar Muhammad Kakar. Talking to delegation, Governor Balochistan said that first time in the history of Balochistan government has been set up under the leadership of local parties in the province. He said that the provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch is working sincerely to maintain Law & Order and safeguard the life and property of the masses. He said local system can elevate the problems of provincial government at great extent. He said provincial government is taking measures to make the system vibrant.

Governor Balochistan, Mohammad Khan Achakzai has said that provision of health facilities and supply of drinking water are the top priorities of Provincial Government. This he said while addressing a meeting to review one hundred and seven projects running through Governor Development Fund. He directed that pace of work on drinking water projects may be speed up as people of the province could be able to get the benefit more and more. He said that to speed up the process of completion of schemes, committees might be established on district level in this regard. Earlier, provincial Public Health Engineering Minister, Nawab Ayyaz Jogezai and Secretary PHE apprised the governor about department’s performance. Chief Executive Officer, QESCO who was also present during the meeting assured that for the completion of ongoing project of drinking water, Transformers, poles and wires would be provided in time. The representative of P&D and finance department assured to play an active part for the completion of water schemes. Meanwhile, the Governor Balochistan stressed on the departments to coordinate each other for completion of the schemes while governor assured to release 2 million additional amounts from governor funds.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has emphasized on the officials of ministry for Water & Power and WAPDA to complete the pending drinking water supply schemes soon. In this way, the provision of clean drinking water can be ensured to the dwellers of the various districts in Balochistan. Governor Balochistan expressed serious concerns over the non-completion of numerous on going waters supply schemes due the apathy of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) and Public Health & Engineering (PHE). He said that these water supply schemes have cost millions of rupees to ensure the provision of clean drinking water. He said that due to the non-supply of transformer, pylon and wires on time from QESCO and PHE side, most of the water supply schemes are yet to be completed. Governor Achakzai expressed dismay over the non-completion of drinking water schemes. He said that after passing almost one and half year, the people could not benefit from the schemes. Governor Balochistan has immediately sought clarification from concerned officials of ministry and QESCO Chief in this regard. Governor Balochistan also requested the federal Secretary for Water & Power to energize the water supply schemes in Balochistan and provide necessary equipments. To mention that 107 water supply schemes are under way under the fund of Governor Balochistan.

A delegation of College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan headed by Prof: Zafar Ullah Chaudhry called on by Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai in Governor House Quetta. Prof: Zafar Ullah Chaudhry told Governor Balochistan that his team is interested to work for the dwellers of Balochistan in five different Districts in order to render their services voluntarily on condition that government of Balochistan provides the required facilities to them. Governor asked the respective delegation to give their bright suggestion and guidance which would enable the provincial government to form an effective delivery system. Governor said that your cooperation and serving sprit would pave a way for providing medical facilities to the public of rural areas of this province which they can’t afford. Governor assured every possible help to the delegation.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai while addressing an Ulsi Jirga at Pashin said that the Government of local political parties has been established very first time in the history of Balochistan. He said that the representatives elected through the votes of the people are trustworthy. He urged the local investors to set up industries and factories in Balochistan so that will pave a way job opportunities for the local people. He said that Pastoon and Baloch are neighbors of thousand years and they have best relations between them. Before that Governor Balochistan inaugurated the water supply scheme in Killi Ibrahim Zai Karbal Pashin. Ten thousand people will be the beneficiaries of the said water supply scheme.

He said that the people of Balochistan equally grieved over the human losses caused by calamity in Punjab. The Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that the secret of educational development is hidden in regional spoken languages. Addressing an inauguration ceremony of a private residential school in Quetta, he said that researches have been proved that the students could understand better and reach the depth of the knowledge in their mother languages. He said that education and training are necessary for living a successful life. Governor Balochistan urged parents and teachers not to pressurize or impose your opinion on them rather pave a way for brushing up their hidden talents. Governor suggested that the parents and teachers would configure a comprehensive strategy to provide basic education in local languages in rural areas in Balochistan because what ever they study in schools could not understand appropriately. He appreciated the efforts of administration of residential school for providing better facilities to the students who belong to the far flung areas of the province. The Governor announced Rs. 2.00 million for the respective residential institute. Minister for health Rehmat Sahla Baloch, Minister for the sports and culture Mir Mujeeb Ur Rahman Muhammad Hassani, Provincial advisor Ubaidullah Jan Babat, Afghan Council General Waheedullah Momand, Regional Director of The Knowledge Schools Abdul Mateen Akhunzada and Principal Secretary to Governor Abdul Jabbar and other officials also attended the inauguration ceremony.

Governor Balochistan Mohammad Khan Achakzai lauded the performance of Pak Army, Police, Frontier Corps and other forces to foil the bid of terrorists on Samungli and Khalid Aviation Bases in Quetta. In an official statement, he expressed satisfaction over the spirit of law enforcement agencies to foil the ulterior motives of terrorists by keeping their lives on hands. He said that the commander southern command Lt: General Nassir Khan Janjuha, Pak Army and other forces played an admirable role for saving lives and important national installations. He said the provincial government under the leadership of Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch is guaranteed for peace and prosperity in Balochistan and said that the protection of Public life and property is the top priority of the incumbent government. The governor said this is a responsibility of the people to support the positive and constructive steps of the government for welfare of masses and foil the nefarious ambitions of terrorists and antisocial elements. He prayed for the soon recovery of injured personnel of law enforcement agencies.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai who was the Chief Gust on the occasion gave away awards to eleven police officials who had laid their lives while encountering with a terrorists. 5th national preventive cardiologist congress is positive step in the right direction. Cardio vascular disease is causing more deaths in the society than any other disease. Due to our dietary habits and our life style, cardio vascular diseases are increasing at a very fast pace. Governor Balochistan expressed these views in 5th national preventive cardiology congress 2014 here on Saturday in Quetta. Governor Balochistan urged that Balochistan needs such awareness campaign more than any other province of Pakistan and he hoped that the findings and recommendations of this national congress in this regard would draw attention at large. Governor Balochistan said that stress, smoking and pollution are the main causes of vascular disease in cities while more damages are being done by the dietary habits in rural areas. Prevention process needs constant effort at all levels. Governor said that the provincial government, on its part is committed to provide better curative medical facilities to the general public. He urged the civil society and professional bodies to come forward and play their role for creating awareness in the masses. Governor Balochistan distributed shields among the doctors who were invited from four provinces of Pakistan and Afghanistan to the preventive cardiologist congress.

Pakistan and Iran particularly Balochistan and Sistan have vast opportunities of development and cooperation. These views were expressed by Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai while welcoming a delegation of Pak Iran Joint Border commission which called on him here on Thursday. Governor said there exist vast opportunities for cooperation among Trade, agriculture, fishery, energy, railways and communication and other sectors. He said their also exist possibility of mutual border trade b/w Gawadar, Jewani and Chahbahar. He said there is need for cooperation among to countries for peace and economic development in the Area. Leader of the Iranian delegation Nadir Shakari said that the purpose of his visit is promotion of trade ties b/w Balochistan and Sistan and exchanging of mutual experiences besides removing hurdles and difficulties in Pak Iran trade. He said visit of Governor Sistan Dr. Hashami to Pakistan would pave a way to boast up trade and would have far reaching impacts.

All Pakistan T-20 Cricket Tournament was held in connection with the Independence Day Celebrations at Ayub Stadium Quetta last night. T-20 Cricket Tournament has jointly been organized by Provincial Government of Balochistan, Pak Army and Frontier Corps Balochistan. Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai was the Chief Guest on occasion inaugurated the T-20 Cricket Cup 2014. Speaking on the occasion Governor Balochistan said that the successful all Pakistan T-20 Cricket Tournament would leave positive impacts on the emerging image of Balochistan. The policies and measurements of the Provincial Government of Balochistan would pave a way for prosperity and tranquility would ensure the protection of the people and their properties. He lauded the efforts of Provincial Government, Pak Army and Frontier Crops Balochistan for arraigning such an event. Later on, an opening match between Balochistan Eleven and Sindh Eleven was played in which Balochistan eleven won the Match. The Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that survival of Pakistan is linked with a peaceful and prosperous Balochistan adding that Pakistan and Balochistan are correlated to each other. Addressing a closing ceremony of All Pakistan T-20 flood-light Cricket Cup Quetta 2014 in Quetta the Governor said that holding of T-20 Cricket Cup 2014 in Quetta not only exposed the soft image of Balochistan but it also restored the historical and traditional colors of the Quetta. He lauded the efforts of Pak-Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan and Provincial government for arranging such a marvelous sports event. He expressed hope that in future recreational activities will also be arranged for the people of the province. The Governor said that initiatives taken for the T-20 Cricket Cup is a positive step which would help promote mutual respect, brother-hood and peace in the province. He underlined that there is no dearth of talent in the youth of Balochistan but only hindrance of opportunities and resources are obstacles in their way. The Governor congratulated the FATA team who won the All Pakistan T-20 Cricket Cup Quetta 2014. Earlier, in a musical show Famous singers, Rahim Shah and Akhtar Chanal presented traditional songs besides traditional dance, fireworks also demonstrated during the closing ceremony of tournament. Later, Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Commander Southern Command, Lt. General Nasser Khan Janjua, Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General Ijaz Shahid, Provincial Ministers Dr. Hamid Khan, Sarfaraz Bugti, Mir Khalid Langov distributed the prizes and shields among the players and organizers of the event.

All Pakistan T-20 Cricket Cup 2014 was started at Ayub Stadium in Quetta last night. The T-20 Cricket Cup 2014 has jointly been organized by Provincial Government of Balochistan, Frontier Corps Balochistan, Manan Memorial gym khan and Quetta Regional Cricket Association. The T-20 tournament will continue till 19th of this month and every day two matches will played at 3p.m and 10.30p.m at Ayub Stadium. The Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai who was the Chief Guest on the occasion inaugurated the T-2 Cricket Cup- 2014. Speaking on the occasion the Governor Balochistan said that Balochistan is changing a sign of new era is emerging, adding that this historical and graceful ceremony will prove the harbinger of change in the Province. He lauded the efforts of Pak-Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan and Provincial government for arranging such an event in which large number of guests were present across the county. The Governor said that initiatives taken for the T-20 Cricket Cup is a positive step for the promotion of brother-hood and peace in the Province. He expressed hope that the prominent players will demonstrate their capabilities which will be effectual to boost the national harmony, integrity and unity., He said all Pakistan T-20 Cricket Cup is initaitvie of bright future for the youngsters of Balochistan. Later, a friendly match between Governor Eleven Cricket team and Chief Minister Eleven Cricket Team was played in which Chief Minister Eleven team won the match. Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai said that nothing is more important than proper up-bringing of the children. The lofty determinations which have been expressed by the children in their speeches, tablo and national songs made pleasant impact on my life. In this regard, the participation of children from various rural areas of province Balochistan is the need of hour. Because majority of the dwellers still dwell in the rural areas of the province, so they will be able to play their own part in the development and prosperity of the country. Governor expressed these views in ‘Children’s Week’ organized by children’s academy Pakistan. Governor said that the children of today will be the future of tomorrow while addressing to Children’s week function. He appreciated the efforts of chairperson and other members of children’s academy being rendered for the secure and sustainable future. The braches of children’s academy have been prevailed to the other major cities of Pakistan due to their sincere efforts. This kind of spirit and passion are required for our national solidarity and harmony. He urged on the parents and teachers that as children love one another despite different differences; we should also love one another sincerely. This will pave a way for the peace and tranquility. The presence of Children’s academy like organizations will prevail the message of love round around. At last Governor Balochistan distributed the prizes among the students of various schools. Chairperson Qalam Qabila Saaqiba Rahimuddin and Professor Fazal Haq Mir were also present on the occasion.

Governor Balochistan Mohammad Khan Achakzai has appealed to the public to play an active part in all relief activities and help the Waziristan Internally Displaced Persons IDPs in this difficult time of their lives. The donation of the public to Prime minister’s relief fund for providing financial help will make the IDPs of Waziristan feel at ease. He said that it is our moral and national obligation to help them being Muslims and Pakistani.

Governor Balochistan Mohammad Khan Achakzai said that freedom is a great blessing and flag is the symbol of the promises and objectives set out by a nation for itself while struggling towards independence. Therefore, the nation should arrange certain occasions for remembering such promises and objectives. He expressed these views the other day in flag hoisting ceremony in University Law College. The hoisting of flag is, in fact, an occasion by which the is not only paying gratitude to Almighty Allah for His blessing of freedom, but also remembering its promises and objectives and to sorting out ways to fulfill them. Governor said that the founder of Pakistan Qaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his companions of freedom have set out the objectives for us to have a homeland, where we can practice our lives in accordance with our religious, social, cultural and economic percepts. He said that these objectives could only be realized through better education. Therefore, it is our national obligation to equip our nation with education. He said that no society could exist without having a fine system of law and justice. Everywhere, law schools have been considered as institutions of high importance, as these are the places from where the experts in law and justice and the future policy makers are emerging on whose ability and competence, the fate of a nation is dependent. In this regard university Law College being the only public institution in Balochistan is imparting legal education is of great importance. Almost all the members of Bar and Bench of our province are the product of this institution which is increasing the dignity and prestige of this prestigious institution. The voice chancellor of UOB Prof Dr Javed Iqbal was also present on the occasion. Principal Law College Barrister Amanullah Achakzai presented the progress report. Later on, governor Balochistan hoisted the flag of Pakistan.

The project director Abdul Jabbar Kasi briefed them about the restoration work of residency. Project director said that the reconstruction work of Quaid-e-Azam Residency Ziarat has been completed almost 80% and added that it would reopen the newly constructed residency on August 14 and it is likely that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would inaugurate it. Governor Balochistan appreciated the restoration work of bringing the respective residency back in its original condition. Later on, Governor Balochistan inspected the various parts of residency and asked different questions regarding it. He showed keen interest in historical pictures while visiting the museum of the residency. Principle secretary to governor Abdul jabbar and commissioner Sibi division Sher Khan Bazai were also present on the occasion.

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai said that nothing is more important than proper up-bringing of the children. The lofty determinations which have been expressed by the children in their speeches, tablo and national songs made pleasant impact on my life. In this regard, the participation of children from various rural areas of province Balochistan is the need of hour. Because majority of the dwellers still dwell in the rural areas of the province, so they will be able to play their own part in the development and prosperity of the country. Governor expressed these views in ‘Children’s Week’ organized by children’s academy Pakistan. Governor said that the children of today will be the future of tomorrow while addressing to Children’s week function. He appreciated the efforts of chairperson and other members of children’s academy being rendered for the secure and sustainable future. The braches of children’s academy have been prevailed to the other major cities of Pakistan due to their sincere efforts. This kind of spirit and passion are required for our national solidarity and harmony. He urged on the parents and teachers that as children love one another despite different differences; we should also love one another sincerely. This will pave a way for the peace and tranquility. The presence of Children’s academy like organizations will prevail the message of love round around. At last Governor Balochistan distributed the prizes among the students of various schools. Chairperson Qalam Qabila Saaqiba Rahimuddin and Professor Fazal Haq Mir were also present on the occasion.

Governor Secretariat stands first in Province Balochistan while installing a solar energy system. Principal Secretary to Governor Abdul Jabbar inaugurated the solar energy system the other day in new block of Governor Secretariat. On this occasion Principal Secretary to Governor said that science and technology has made the human life easier and faster. The things should be seen with new scientific perspective rather than conventional ways and means. In this connection, the Governor Secretariat has been equipped with solar energy system in accordance with federal and provincial government policies. The installed solar energy system of which estimated about cost is Rs. 5 million has the capacity to generated 5000 watt/ 5Kv electricity. He said the solar energy system is need of hour to overcome the short fall in the country. Additional Secretary Mir Ahmadan Buzdar and Mr. Balach Aziz were also present on the occasion of inauguration ceremony.
